When finished, simply click on the answer to close it again.   1. How fast does a carrier travel in a pneumatic tube system? Approximately 25 feet per second.   2. How much weight can a system transport? Up to 15 pounds.   3. How many stations can be connected to an Automatic System? Virtually unlimited.   4. What happens when a carrier gets stuck in the system? The system will execute an "automatic self purge" to correct the situation automatically. If this is unsuccessful, the system will go into an alarm state to inform the user there is a problem.   5. Can we get a customized system for our facility? Yes. Almost all Enterprise systems installed are customized to fit the needs of the customer.   6. What is the life expectancy of a pneumatic tube system? Approximately 10 years before any major parts need to be replaced.   7. How about a return on my investment? A pneumatic tube system will almost always pay for itself in less than two years.   8. What about reliability? Enterprise Series systems are guaranteed to be 99.6% reliable.   9. Can we upgrade our existing system to the Enterprise Series? Yes. We can retrofit our technology to most existing systems. 10. What about maintenance for the Automatic system? The system is designed to perform its own maintenance functions initially. However, if unsuccessful, the system will inform the user there is a problem. If necessary, an 800 number is available for free 24 hour phone and computer remote control support. Same day on-site service is provided in most situations if necessary. If repairs are necessary, Enterprise Series systems use 99% "off the shelf" parts that are available locally. 11. Can I send fragile or breakable items in a carrier? Yes. With the Enterprise Series' Air-cushioned delivery system and proper packaging, even the most delicate items can be transported safely.
